About me
I am retired from public education as a teacher and district leader in SW Florida. I was a High School History Teacher with a focus in Ancient History, World Religion, and an emphasis in African and Chinese Studies. In the second half of my career, I turned to work in equity through literacy and pursued my Masters in Reading at Florida Gulf Coast University as a District Curriculum Director. Hiking in National Parks is my favorite activity and I love the sun, salt, and sand of Florida. My hometown is Detroit and I spend most of my time in Michigan as a coach with EL Education full-time.
