In this session, participants will explore how the EL Education Skills Block supports foundational literacy development for all learners. Educators will examine the structure of the block, key instructional shifts, and best practices for effective implementation. Through hands-on activities and discussion, participants will develop practical strategies to strengthen phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and vocabulary instruction. You’ll leave with practical tools to support student engagement and build stronger reading foundations in your classroom.
